This is a real Series 1 switch, taken apart. Rocker, contact assembly, terminals, housing and base — the parts that decide whether a switch is still working in ten years.

The miniature circuit breaker is the one ALVEX product judged entirely on what it prevents. Cut in half, it stops being a white box on a distribution board and becomes a mechanism — springs, contacts, a trip coil and an arc chute, waiting to do one job once.

ALVEX is built on a Jalandhar factory that has been making electrical switches and accessories since 1994 — tool room, moulding, paint, assembly and testing, all in-house. That capability is what makes the next ranges credible rather than aspirational. Wires first, then architectural lighting. What follows is where ALVEX is going, not what is on a shelf today.

Thirty-two years of manufacturing legacy. The factory is not behind the brand — the factory is where the brand was born.
Where the moulds are made
Tool room
Moulds are built, corrected and repaired on site — so a die can be opened up and put back into production without leaving the factory.
From material to form
Injection moulding
Raw polymer enters here. Switch plates, housings and rockers leave as parts.
Finish and colour
Paint room
Plates are coated and cured on an in-house line, so the finish on a Series X front plate is controlled in the same building it was moulded in.

Assembly
Components, terminals and mechanisms are brought together at the bench.
Tested in-house
Laboratory
An in-house electrical testing laboratory on the same premises as production.

ISI CERTIFIED.
ALVEX switches and plugs & socket-outlets are manufactured by Basant Enterprises under licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards and carry the ISI mark — the same standards the products are tested against in the laboratory on site.
Anyone can check these licences. Search the CM/L number on the BIS Care app or the BIS website; the licence is listed against Basant Enterprises, Jalandhar.
